Courting - October 1955

The story is that dad was in Edmonton and Mom was in Lethbridge.   The Calgary Stake Centre was dedicated on September 16, 1956.   They both attended the dedicatory meeting where I think President David O. Mckay officiated.  (N Eldon Tanner was the Stake President at that time)  During the closing prayer dad slipped the engagement ring on mom's finger.   She must have said amen to that because we are all here.    They didn't have much time to celebrate because apparently they both caught rides to Calgary.   Soon after the meeting dad was headed back to Edmonton and mom was on her way back to Lethbridge.

Congratulations Candi!!!!

Yesterday we attended Candi's convocation ceremony.    She graduated with a Bachelor's in Nursing.

Like Jamie yelled out when you walked across the stage "You did it!"

What a great accomplishment.  Congratulations.  We are so proud of you.

Now you can virtually open a present.
Grandma T ordered a present for you and it just arrived here.   Now we have to get it to you.

You can go to the beach today and imagine taking pictures in the water (or on rainy days at the PCC)

Who was she talking about?

This is another post in response to Wilma's post.  

At first I thought that Wilma had another brother who had died.   All those nice things that she said - but who was she talking about?   But there were some stories in there that confirmed that it was me - the bending back of the toes.

Well again she had no pictures.    I thought it would be awkward to post your own pictures but here are two just so I don't let Wilma down.
